How we started

The first customer is still with us

In 2005, three programmers founded CS-Cart after identifying a gap in the market for a solution that enabled non-technical entrepreneurs to launch eCommerce websites.

With this vision, they developed an eCommerce platform that eliminated the need for programming skills to create an online store. On August 2, 2005, we celebrated our first sale—a customer who remains with us to this day.

My first eCommerce site project (launched in 2006) was based on VirtueMart. VirtueMart, like WooCommerce, is a simple plug-in for a general-purpose engine, unlike CS-Cart, which is a real eCommerce solution.I quickly realized that customizing and, above all, maintaining too many plug-ins was hell. Great modular solution for coders as well as business users!
